Moss Hotel is a hidden retreat above the bustling Salamanca Place, tucked within the original warehouses, once home to traders, whalers, publicans, gentlemen and convicts.

Moss Hotel resides in two buildings separated by a city block in Salamanca, Hobart. The buildings are of the same era having been built in 1841 and 1835 respectively and as evidenced by the Georgian facades of both.

Each has a unique history and a unique feel, influenced by their location, orientation and form and subtle differences in treatment by architects Circa Morris Nunn. Whilst 25 is certainly more private and introspective, 39 is right at the very cross roads of the bustling Salamanca strip.
